SUR ANDINA by Madre Tierra Designers (Art collective inspired by heritage, sustainability and identity), is an art installation, designed from textile and sound art, both arts work in sinergy to create a joint work.
Inspired in the Argentine Andes, the installation proposes an immersive experience that captures the harmony and sacred knowledge of the Andean mountains, connecting with nature and being.
From textile art, a large-scale light sculpture made with local and native natural fibres from the mountainous region is proposed. The sculpture will offer visitors a sensory experience of observation and interaction.
From sound art, the natural landscape is materialized and represented with the Cosmovisional Sound Stories project. Inspired by traditional oral storytelling, original compositions and immersive audio transport visitors to an authentic Andean experience.
The art installation and immersive experience will be the product of both artists' analysis, research and experimentation on Andean culture translated into a contemporary and modern language.
