Cosmovisional Sound Stories is a project that represents through sound art, origin myths of native and ancestral communities from around the world.
"Cosmovisional Sound Stories" emerged in 2015 when its members were invited by La Abadía, Center for Arts and Latin American Studies (Buenos Aires, Argentina) to contribute to the inaugural exhibition of Teresa Pereda, Tierra de Encuentros, Cielos y Colores: Arte de Sudamérica Hoy y Ayer. This collaboration initiated a dynamic and interdisciplinary exploration of sound as a medium to interpret and enhance the ethnographic art pieces on display.
Through the integration of archival music and sound design, the project aimed to illuminate the aesthetic and cultural essence of the native communities represented in the exhibition, resulting in an authentic sonic spatialization that enriched the visitor’s sensory experience. Over the years, sustained multidisciplinary work with artists and curators refined this innovative approach, positioning sound art as a transformative and collaborative tool that contributes to preserving and shaping the cultural identity of native peoples around the world. This pioneering work ultimately gave rise to the concept now known as "Cosmovisional Sound Stories," where tradition, art, and sound converge to offer new perspectives on cultural narratives.
